Deleting Picture from MyPictures or during slideshow????

  • Hi There

    I am having some problems deleting pictures from within MyPics... I am able to delete them through the context menu but am trying to shorten the process from 7 button pushes to 3!!

    I have tried adding delete to and in keymap.xml but with no success!!

    Some help please!!

    Also on a side note.. is it possible to delete the photos from within the full screen slideshow mode??

    It should work. Post a debug log. At the very least, we should be able to see the actions in the log.

    No. You cant.


  • Based solely on that date, it should be in that version, though you can never really sure if you dont compile it yourself. Is this in your changelog file?

    When i push the hash key from within mypictures i get the conformation box "Confirm file delete" come up just as it does from within the context menu but when i click yes it does not delete the file it just brings back the thumbnails of the photos which includes the one i have tried to delete.

  • You need to post a debug log. Hold X+Y while Xbmc loads to enable debug mode. You know it worked if u see a freemem counter onscreen.

    I have found the problem but do not know how to fix it.... Some help please

    When using delete it runs the delete command like this...

    DEBUG FileManager DeleteItem: IMG_0591.jpg

    Which doesnt work!!

    However when using the context menu in the same window the delete command runs like this

    DEBUG FileManager: delete smb://samba:lan@mediaserver/DISK 2/photos/1Canon/Angels/IMG_0591.jpg

    Which DOES work!! =]

    I thinks that the context menu delete item is running a different command than delete!!

    Some help for a n00b please!!

  • I've moved this to the bug forum. I suggest you open an official bug report on xbmc.sf.net as well. Be sure to include a debug log. And it would be helpful if you tested the Video and Music windows too as they all use the same code CGUIMediaWindow::OnDeleteItem(), for both the context menu options, and button use.
