Non flying/dining/credit card ways to bump mileage?

  • Milesmall online shopping portal.

    Their program is pretty poor compared to GoldPoints, but

    1)has better earning rates than the standard milesmall program
    2)offers a 25m/100$ bonus (I assume this is per transaction)
    3)offers lower redemption threshholds than the regular milesmall program
    4)redemptions are automatic
    5)is the only online shopping portal for Alaska Air besides MyPoints

    I rate them the number two online points/miles shopping portal (behind GoldPoints), due to the above factors, combines with a fairly extensive partner list.

    and MyPoints is #4 on my list.


  • If you're ever in ANC, then stop by a Carrs and get a Carrs Plus/Safeway Club Card. It's also good in the lower 48, I think, and for every $250 you spend you get 125 bonus miles.

    Using a pure Safeway Club only works with UA.

    Hilton's double miles promotion = 1,000 miles per stay until the end of March.

  • One thing to keep an eye on is that flying on NW or AA can generates lots of Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles when there's a bonus program running. In the past few years, there seems to have been such a bonus program every year for flying lots of segments on both the other airline and on Alaska.
